陈雁秋 1995 年获英国南安普顿大学电子与计算机科学博士学位， 1988 年获同济大学信号与系统硕士学位， 1985 年获同济大学工业自动化学士学位。 陈 博士 2001 年作为复旦大学引进中青年杰出人才担 任 教授， 2003 年评为博士生导师， 2004 年获上海市引进海外高层次留学人员专项资金资助。 陈 博士曾于 1996-2001 年任新加坡南洋理工大学电气电子工程学院信息工程系助理教授， 1995 年任英国格拉摩根大学计算机系博士后研究员。

陈博士 2004 年起任《计算机辅助工程》编委，曾于 2007 年和 2005 年任国际自然计算会议程序委员会委员， 2004 年任第九届中国机器学习会议程序委员会委员， 2003 年任中国计算机学会 YOCSEF 上海论坛副主席， 2004 年 -2007 年任复旦大学信息学院通信系主任， 2002-2004 年任计算机系副主任。

陈博士目前的科研方向包括计算视觉、模式识别、计算智能。获得国家自然科学基金、教育部博士点基金、上海市科委重点基础研究项目的资助。共发表论文 70 余篇，包括 IEEE Transactions 9 篇， Pattern Recognition 4 篇， International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV 2007) 1 篇， SCI 检索 30 余篇，被 SCI 论文他引 70 余次。
